DIY Paper Flower Backdrop: Photo-Ready Wall
The Statement Piece Every Party Needs
A paper flower backdrop transforms any wall into a photo-worthy focal point at a fraction of fresh flower costs.
Materials Needed
- Cardstock in 3-4 coordinating colors
- Floral templates
- Hot glue gun
- Foam board as backing
Step 1: Cut the Petals
Trace and cut petals in 3 sizes. You will need 5-8 petals per size per flower. Plan 30-50 flowers total.
Step 2: Shape the Petals
Curl each petal by wrapping around a pencil. Cup the edges for natural dimension.
Step 3: Assemble and Mount
Layer petals largest to smallest. Arrange on foam board mixing sizes and colors. Fill gaps with leaves.
Time Estimate
Plan 4-6 hours for a 4x4 foot backdrop. Enlist friends for a flower-making party before the event.
