Custom Party Signage with Cricut: Guide
Why Cricut Changes the Signage Game
A Cricut cutting machine lets you produce professional-quality party signage at home. What a calligrapher charges $15-$30 per sign for, you can make for $1-$3 in materials.
Essential Supplies
- Cricut Explore or Maker (any model works)
- Permanent vinyl (Oracal 651): $8 for a 12x48" roll
- Transfer tape: $5 for a roll that lasts dozens of projects
- Wood boards, acrylic blanks, or cardstock as sign bases
- Weeding tools: $8 for a basic set
Project 1: Welcome Banner
Cut vinyl letters from your chosen font in Cricut Design Space. Apply to a wooden board or banner blank using transfer tape. A 24x6" welcome sign takes about 20 minutes total.
Project 2: Table Numbers
Cut numbers from gold or silver vinyl and apply to white cardstock or wood rounds. Make a set of 10 in under an hour. Add floral accents with hot glue for extra flair.
Project 3: Menu and Bar Signs
Design in Canva, export as SVG, import into Cricut Design Space. Cut the entire menu text in vinyl and apply to a chalkboard or acrylic blank. Looks custom-printed.
Font Recommendations
For elegant events: Playfair Display, Great Vibes, or Cormorant. For modern parties: Montserrat, Poppins, or Bebas Neue. All free in Canva and compatible with Cricut.
