10 Halloween Party Games for Adults

Beyond Costume Contests

Adult Halloween parties deserve more than a best-costume vote. These games create genuine engagement, laughter, and memorable moments that last well past the holiday.

Blind Taste Test of Fear

Blindfold guests and have them taste mysterious items described in horrifying terms. Peeled grapes become witch eyeballs, cold spaghetti becomes brains, and chocolate pudding becomes enchanted mud. The descriptions matter more than the actual food.

Murder Mystery Dinner

Assign characters in advance and provide costume suggestions. Use a pre-written mystery kit or create your own plot. Plan for 2-3 hours of gameplay with built-in dinner service between acts.

Scary Movie Trivia

Create a trivia game with rounds covering classic horror, modern thrillers, and Halloween traditions. Use a buzzer app for competitive energy. Prizes should be themed: horror movie gift baskets, spooky candles, or gourmet candy.

Photo Booth with Props

Set up a dark backdrop with dramatic lighting. Provide props like fake blood, plastic spiders, witch hats, and vintage frames. Create a shared album so everyone gets the photos afterward.
